There's something surreal about long exposures like this - I love them! What is the function of the smiley face? Are they holes in the wood?

wow, 50sec? I don't quite have the gall to try one that long...but this looks wonderful! the colors that came out are quite rich, and the shadows are pretty nice too...nice that the smiley face's light didnt step out of its bounds [so to speak] too.
